A not-for-profit foundation that operates in the public interest to encourage a prosperous, sustainable future through education and experience in engineering, science, technology and innovation.

The foundation believes that technological advances should be driven by the needs of humanity and that an inspired knowledge of science, engineering and technology can positively influence quality of life, career options for young people, and the prospects of future generations.

Because life’s inspirations begin in childhood, the foundation will support children in their discovery, appreciation and enjoyment of science and technology by providing resources, experiences and learning opportunities.

Roxbury Alumni Dinner

Saturday, July 17th, 2009- The Annual Roxbury Central School Alumni Dinner was held at Shepard Hills Golf Course in Roxbury. There were apporximately 125 Alumni present and a great time was had by all. All were entertained by the music of "Harmony". Many stories were shared between Alumni and Friends. Both Guy Numann and Pat Numann spoke on behalf of the Greater Roxbury Learning Initiative Corp. WIOX Radio pins were given out to all who made a donation. The GRLIC foundation received donations for more than $1400.00 with pledges in addition of $600.00 from many alumni. These donations will help GRLIC in supporting educational opportunties in the areas of science, technology and engineering for students in the Greater Roxbury Area. The GRLIC Foundation would like to thank all you made donations during this wonderful event. The foundation would also like to thank the Alumni Association for allowing us to participate in this wonderful event.

GRLIC gives out free garlic at Roxbury Sidewalk Festival

The Greater Roxbury Learning Initiative Corp. gave out free garlic to everyone who stopped by the booth at the Roxbury Sidewalk Festival. All who visited were entered into a free raffle for a basket of garlic related items all from local farmers and craftsman. For a donation, visitors could enter to win a digital camera. Both raffles were won by local residents. Fun was had by all. Many went home with garlic and information about the foundation. Thank you for stopping by.
